Here's some links to get you started....
  • netTrekker ---The district subscribes to this resource. It has a wealth of information that can be used to find WebQuests and to build them. (To access it outside of the district network, the log-in information is mnps; mnps.)
  • QuestGarden ---San Diego State University database of webquests created by the founders, Tom March and Bernie Dodge.
  • 4Teachers.org ---Several great tools located here. Check out TrackStar and Web Poster Wizard for Webquest ideas. (If you have time, check out the other tools.)
  • TeacherWeb WebQuests ----It provides an overview of what webquests are and allows you to search for some.
  • Internet4classrooms ---Created by a TN teacher and has great resources.

Creating Your Own Webquests---- Sometimes the webquests available are not exactly what you need. In that case, you will want to create your own. There are several Web 2.0 tools available to help you easily create a webquest.
  1. The first step is to get organized. Be sure to completely plan out your Webquest BEFORE beginning to put it on the Web.
  2. Choose a tool. Here are a few suggestions:
    • Wikispaces----The Common Craft video about Wikis in Plain English provides a great overview. There is also a series of videos on MNPSTube to help you get started. WIKI GROUP on MTube
    • Schoolnotes.com ---This site is intended as a communication tool with students and parents, but you can also use it to build a WebQuest.
    • Google Docs ---Publish as Website.
    • The above links provide resources to help you build your own.
  3. Build the Webquest.
  4. Share it with your students, parents, and other teachers.
